Palm Springs Int’l Film Festival officially calls off

The Palm Springs International Film Festival has been cancelled over coronavirus pandemic.

Slated for February 25, 2021, the event has been previously postponed to March 2021, yet the officials announced that they have decided to call it off as long as the pandemic continues.

Despite cancellation, the awards ceremony of the 2021 Palm Springs filmfest will be held as scheduled in February.

The organizers have told the media that “as we reach the end of the year, we noticed that launching the ceremony is still impossible, so we made the difficult question to skip the 2021 event and maybe come back in 2022.”

The Palm Springs International Fest aims to stay the medium that keeps film markets, filmmakers and viewers connected.
